BLACK CAULKING MASTIC

DESCRIPTION
ALCO Black Caulking Mastic is a superior blend of the highest quality of refined asphalt, including an excellent filler, solvents and hydrocarbons. A very unique process is used to open the filler, providing a very smooth homogeneous consistency not found in any standard mastic.

· Flashing of parapet walls
· Joint filler in a low, non-tracking area
· Between foundation and sills of metal buildings

PREPARATION
Surface being repaired should be clean dry and free from oil, grease, dirt, loose coating or other foreign matter.


APPLICATION
Material is applied directly from the container. On small hairline cracks, feather down the edges with a trowel. On larger cracks or voids, it may be necessary to use a membrane cloth with this material. After repair has been made, coat entire are with ALCO Fiber Roof Coating.

TUBE APPLICATION: Use with large caulking gun. Cut tip to job specifications.

COLD WEATHER APPLICATION: Keep material at room temperature before using.

Respiratory:  Use with adequate ventilation. Inhalation of high vapor concentration may cause headaches and/or dizziness. NIOSH/MSHA Respirators required if TLV is exceeded.
Personal Protection:  Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin, which may cause irritation. Wear chemical resistant gloves such as neoprene are recommended. Do not get in eyes; splash proof goggles are recommended. Wear protective clothing if needed. Do not take internally.
Fire Protection:  Keep away from heat, open flame and any source of ignition.
First Aid
Eye Contact – Rinse immediately with water for 15 minutes and seek medical advice.
Skin Contact – Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
Inhalation – Remove individual to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration; get medical attention immediately.
Ingestion – Do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately.
Waste Disposal – Seal container when not in use. Empty containers must be disposed in an approved landfill in accordance with local, state and Federal regulations.
Spill or Leak – Shut off ignition source; no open flame. Stop leak without risk. Dike area of spill and take up with sand or other suitable material. Prevent from entering drains, sewers or waterways.

We warrant our materials to be of good quality and will replace materials found defective, providing, however, that the buyer shall examine the materials when received and promptly notify us of any defects before the materials are used or incorporated into a structure for which they are intended. Unless otherwise agreed to in writing, this warranty shall extend only to comply with specifications of materials manufactured by and published by Alco Products llc, and made available to the buyer at request. We cannot warrant nor in any way guarantee particular methods, use or applications, nor can we warrant that the materials will be suitable for any intended use. This warranty is in lieu of all others expressed or implied and may not be extended by representatives, written sales or information or drawings. Nor do our distributors or salesmen or any other representatives of distributors or of this  company have any authority to extend any guarantee beyond that outlined above or to waive the limitations of the seller's liability.
