SECTION 4     FIRE & EXPLOSION DATA

Not Applicable. Material is water based and will not burn. The residue is a solid and also will not burn.

 

SECTION 5     REACTIVITY DATA

Incompatibility:  Metals will slowly corrode in solution. avoid contact with aluminum and yellow brass.

Hazardous Polymerization:  Will not occur

 

SECTION 6     HEALTH HAZARD DATA

Primary Routes of Entry:  Inhalation, Skin, Ingestion, Eyes

Effects of Overexposure (Chronic): Not Determined

Effects of Over Exposure (Acute):

   Inhalation – Vapors are unlikely due to physical properties. Mist may cause irritation to upper
      respiratory tract.  

   Skin – Prolonged or repeated contact can cause irritation and burns  

   Ingestion – Can cause gastrointestinal irritation or ulceration

   Eyes – May cause moderate to severe eye injury; corneal injury may be slow to heal

 

SECTION 7     FIRST AID PROCEDURE

Skin:  Wash with flowing water or shower. Consult a physician.

Eyes:  Flush with running water for 15 minutes. Consult a physician.

Inhalation:  Remove to fresh air if effects occur. Consult a physician.  

Ingestion:  Induce vomiting. Consult a physician immediately.

 

SECTION 8     PREVENTATIVE MEASURES/SAFE HANDLING & USE

Leak and Spill Procedure:  Flush with plenty of water. Keep out of drinking water sources.

Waste Disposal:  Follow state and/or local regulations.

Precautions in Handling & Storage:  Avoid prolonged contact with skin. Practice good personal hygiene.
   Read product label in its entirety before use. DO NOT HEAT OR THIN THIS MATERIA.

Ventilation:  Normally not needed. If TLV is exceeded, use NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator.  

Eye Protection:  Chemical splash proof goggles are recommended.

Clothing: Due to the composition of this material, waterproof clothing, boots and gloves are
   recommended

Additional Personal Protection Equipment:  Requirements must be supplied by the user, depending on
   use conditions.

SECTION 13     CLEAN UP AND DISPOSAL

Practice good personal hygiene. Launder contaminated clothing before reuse. Use control protection such as chemical splash proof goggles, oil resistant gloves, barrier cream. Clean tools and equipment with soap and water. DO NOT USE GASOLINE OR NAPHTHA. Follow proper container management in disposing of containers. CERCLA amendment on disposal of containers should be followed.
